About the Exhibit:

Vast Lands, Inner Visions: The Art of Joella Jean Mahoney presents key paintings by the artist, who left an indelible mark on the art of the United States that will continue to inspire future generations. Mahoney’s paintings are rich in color and surface quality, with bold, intense passages blurring the distinctions between solid form and space, evoking the nuances of the desert world. Her surfaces and paint quality are seductive, drawing viewers into the inner world she shared.
